Healing is the end of the conflict with yourself

by Stephanie Gailing

I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with a specialty in adults and seniors.

My therapeutic models are primarily Person-Centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also employ other techniques such as Mindfulness practices, Healing Touch Therapy and I am currently undertaking training in Regression Therapy and Hypnotherapy.

I worked intensively with Paul Sugar Palliative Support Centre in Vancouver, Canada providing counselling for patients with cancer and support for families.

Life can be challenging, confusing and painful. You don't need to be alone. I will hear you with an open mind, and together we will explore where and how you keep yourself stuck. I will listen with empathy, and help you discover new ways of approaching your life, saying "yes" to the challenges and accepting yourself of who you are. Together we will find meanings and reasons to embrace those confusing times with confidence, freedom and clarity.

I offer clients space and presence that is warm, validating, respectful, caring, and supportive of healing. My intention as a therapist is to support clients to explore and move beyond difficult or limiting experiences and provide an opportunity for people to attune to, and reconnect with their most authentic self.

I completed my studies at Vancouver College of Counsellor Training and I am certified at the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapist of Canada. I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
